Description

Jenny McLeod, one of New Zealand's most preeminent composing artists, has produced her first collected work of poetry, Mutterings from a Spiry Crag. McLeod tackles the personal and political with equal measures of passion and wry wit, to create an extremely strong collection of poetry. Encompassing a variety of themes such as the war in Iraq, whanau, and life in Pukerua Bay, the book has broad appeal both locally and internationally. sorry bird, when it's you or us wer'e apt to be stony-hearted, muttering on spiry crags about eagles, powers and higher things, and wondering what you might taste like.
