Horse Law

Author(s): Julie MacKenzie

Pets & Animals

The purpose of this book is to provide a simple guide to the law for the horse owner as well as providing an initial reference book for solicitors or barristers who find themselves involved in cases concerning horses. Now in its third edition having been substantially revised, this is an invaluable guide to the law relating to horses for students, owners and professionals within the horse industry. The author, a practising barrister, brings the existing subjects up to date (these include buying and selling, negligence, the Animals Act 1971, rights of way for riders, road traffic, gaming and betting) and introduces new sections on the Hunting Bill, changes in the Welfare Act, passports, and much more.
