Author(s): Frances Edmond
Lauris Edmond (1924-2000) is described by the Oxford Companion to New Zealand Literature as "one of the most significant, assured and accessible of contem-porary poetic voices, and as a widely read auto-biographer and comment-ator." To create an anthology of Lauris's quintessential writings, the editors invited fellow writers, friends and family to suggest favourite pieces from her oeuvre. These they have woven together to produce this landmark volume, an eloquent and engaging addition to the Lauris Edmond canon. A time-line and a comprehensive bibliography are included.
The editors Lauris Edmond's second daughter Frances Edmond is a screenwriter, actress, film director and playwright, and is Lauris's literary executor.
